Even With Little Hanging in Balance, Championship Races Deliver Dramatic Conclusions

In May, on the night of his first win of the season at Five Flags Speedway, Gary Sutton celebrated in Victory Lane by calling his No 151 Outlaw Stocks car an “ugly monstrosity.”
Not as a slight, mind you. Sutton and his team, led by good friend Mike Williamson’s expert hands, had cut the car in half at one point in attempts to make the proper adjustments.

Who will wear the 50th Anniversary Crown?

One of the traditions of the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway is the Miss Snowball Derby Pageant that takes place each year leading up to the big race.
This year, the pageant will be held on Thursday, November 16 at a brand-new venue of the Seville Quarter in historic downtown Pensacola, FL.

 
This year’s pageant holds extra meaning as Five Flags Speedway celebrates the 50 th anniversary of the most prestigious Super Late Model race in the country.
Coincidentally, Seville Quarter – the location for this year’s pageant – is also celebrating their 50 th anniversary this year.
