Five Flags Speedway is proud to host the AMA Super Moto Series on Saturday, October 7th. The Series has chosen a first time event for Pensacola as site of their 2017 National Championship round. AMA Super Moto opened their season in February in Bakersfield California and have since traveled to Tucson Arizona, Quebec Canada, and Sturgis South Dakota. Some of the top riders in the nation will tryout the newly constructed, part dirt, part pavement road course. Riders will be met with the high speeds of the Five Flags Speedway front stretch before diving into the infield only to find a series of dirt jumps mixed in to the challenging road circuit. Riders will be allowed to set up their machines during a round of practice on Friday evening. The Grandstands will be closed on Friday. Saturday will showcase not only the top shelf National riders, but a host of local riders as well competing in non AMA events. Practice and qualifying is set for 3pm on Saturday, while the racing is scheduled to begin at 7pm.

About Supermoto

Supermoto originated in the U.S. in the late 70s as a made-for-TV “Superbikers” show. Supermoto is a cross-discipline event in which road racers, dirt-trackers and motocrossers compete on a unique track that combines pavement and dirt, resulting in a very competitive race track. The races feature jumps, high speeds and back-it-in sliding. Tracks can range from football stadiums to closed-course streets to parking lots and more.
