Five Flags Team Adds Crew Member
Five Flags Speedway is excited to welcome a new set of hands in the pits.
Chuck Corder has joined Five Flags as a Media Coordinator after serving an independent advisor to the track during the 2010 season.
As he did last season, Corder will continue to provide web site content and weekly stories during the season, including race nights, that will be published on 5flagsspeedway.com and in the Pensacola News Journal.
In this new role, Corder hopes to help strengthen the reach and influence of Five Flags, regarded by most racing fans around the nation as America’s No. 1 home for short-track racing.
He has been an integral part in helping develop new and updated features on the upcoming 5flagsspeedway.com web site that will debut soon. Corder wants to help broaden the speedway’s presence in the social media world with Five Flags’ Twitter and Facebook pages.
An award-winning writer, Corder has more than a decade in print journalism. In 2004, after writing professionally in Washington D.C. and Mississippi, the Baton Rouge, La., native parked in Pensacola.
Corder helped revamp the News Journal’s coverage of high school sports in just a short time.
He aspires to do the same for Five Flags and the Gulf South’s always flourishing racing community.
