Flyin Ryan Luza Ready for Snowflake 100

ryan-carPensacola, FL (Dec.1, 2014)
When you think of Pro Late Model Stock Car racing and Florida, 5 Flags Speedway and the Snowball Derby come to mind. A native Houstonian, Flyin Ryan Luza grew up cutting his teeth and honing his driving skills in the shadows of small tracks around Texas and on the dirt ovals and asphalt short tracks across the southern United States, consistently winning at every level along the way. “Now 5 Flags Speedway is home for Flyin Ryan Luza Racing and his #14 Chevy Impala and he dreams of winning at this historical race track in the Snowflake 100 in December. Through this past year Luza was fortunate enough to finish 4th in points in the Pro Late Model Division at 5 Flags Speedway, he had one pole and a second place finish while missing the opening weekend of the series.
Away from 5 Flags Speedway in 2014 Ryan had another fine year behind the wheel of his Chevy Impala. He’s captured 4 Pro Late Model wins in Louisiana and Texas to go along with 2 poles as well. Luza’s driving skills have not gone unnoticed in Texas either. Raymond Delahouysse Motorsports after seeing Ryan run his Pro Late Model in Kyle decided to put him in his Pro Modified to run a few races here to finish out the season in Houston and Kyle Texas. With the success of the teams few races together Ryan could be running full time for a championship in 2015 at Houston Motorsports Park.
Now 18, Luza’s Dad and team owner is weighing the decision to take his sons racing career to the next level and move into the Pro Late Model Super Series in 2015. With a little mentoring from his crew chief JC Umscheid and his father Dave Umscheid, both professional race car drivers, the sky is the limit for Luza moving forward.
Be sure to watch for Flyin Ryan Luza and the #14 McGunegill Engine Performance/ Octane Energy Drink Chevrolet Impala as they compete in the Snowflake 100 on Saturday, December, 6th at 5 Flags Speedway.
