Pensacola Beef O’ Brady’s to Host Snowball Derby Kick-Off Party

Snowball-Kickoff-Party-Table-537x350Snowball Derby week will get a fun sendoff with good food and top short track racers mingling with fans during the 7th Annual Speed51.com Snowball Derby Kick-Off Party presented by Anderson’s Maple Syrup on Tuesday, December 1.

The Kickoff Party will once again be held at Tracy Goodson’s Beef ‘O’ Brady’s restaurant location on 22 S. Palafox Street, in the heart of Pensacola, Florida’s historic and picturesque downtown district.  Adding even more excitement to the festivities, Speed51 TV will feature a free, live video broadcast of the entire night’s activities.

 

“Every year, the Snowball Derby Kickoff Party continues to grow bigger with more fans, drivers and crews showing up to Beef O’Brady’s  to kick off one of the most exciting weekends in short track racing,� said Matt Kentfield, Speed51.com Executive Director.  “The addition of the live Speed51 TV broadcast allows fans all over the country to experience the same excitement and get amped up for the big race.�

 

Speed51.com, the official news and live coverage site of the 48th Annual Snowball Derby, will once again be hosting the annual party that gets fans, drivers and teams hyped up for the biggest short track race of the year.  This year’s Kick-Off Party will feature racers competing at Pensacola’s Five Flags Speedway during Snowball Derby week.  They will be chatting with fans and Speed51 TV’s reporters, as well as participating in games and other activities that fans across the globe can watch for free on Speed51.com.

 

“We love it,� said Tracy Goodson, owner of Downtown Pensacola’s Beef O’Brady’s location.  “It’s great to be part of it.  It’s fun to watch it because every year it grows into something bigger, just like the race itself. The Derby is the most exciting race of the year for short tracks, so it’s fun to have a big part in it.�

 

The Kick-Off party also serves as a great opportunity for fans to meet their favorite Snowball Derby and Snowflake 100 drivers, as well as get autographs before their busy week begins at the race track.  There will also be a wide variety of games for kids in attendance, as well as drink and food specials for the adults.

 

Anderson’s Maple Syrup, the official sponsor of the Kick-Off Party, will also be giving away free samples of their tasty maple syrup to those in attendance.

Mark the date on your calendar today: December 2, 2015.  It will be a Snowball Derby Kick-Off Party you won’t want to miss, and it’s all taking place at Beef O’Brady’s on 22. S. Palafox St. in downtown Pensacola.

 

The 48th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off with the Cat Country/WEAR-TV3 Green Flag Party on Wednesday, December 2.  On-track activities start Thursday, December 3, for the opening practice rounds for the Snowball Derby Super Late Models and Snowflake 100 Pro Late Models.  The Five Flags Butler U-Pull-It Bombers and Beef ‘O’Brady’s Sportsman divisions will also have feature events on Snowball Derby Thursday.

 

The top Snowball Derby starting spots will be set on Friday, December 4 during WXBM 102.7 Pole Night at Five Flags.  The Five Flags Faith Chapel Super Stocks and Modifieds will also battle in their Snowball Derby features after Super Late Model qualifying.

 

The Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100 takes center stage on Saturday, December 5 as the top Pro Late Model racers in the country qualify and battle for 100 laps at Five Flags.  In addition, Saturday’s action features the final 50-lap qualifying event for Snowball Derby drivers to make one last effort to qualify for the 300-lap Super Late Model race.  The Better Built Tool Box Pro Trucks will also have a 50-lap feature on Snowball Derby Saturday.

 

Then on Sunday, December 6, the green flag will drop on the 48th Annual Snowball Derby at 2 p.m. CT at Pensacola, Florida’s Five Flags Speedway.

 

Fans unable to make it to Pensacola, Florida for the Snowball Derby can watch all of the action through a live pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51 TV.  A four-day video ticket can be purchased now for $59.99 allowing fans to watch all of the action from Five Flags Speedway.  Single-day video tickets are also available.
