PFC Brakes Presents Free Broadcast of SSS Finale at Five Flags

TS-PFC-51TV-SSS-537x330The excitement of the 2016 Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco season will reach its peak on Saturday, September 24 during the season finale at Five Flags Speedway (FL). While fans at the race track witness a stout group of Super Late Model stars battle for a win and a championship, those unable to attend the event will also be able to watch the side-by-side racing action.

For the second straight year, PFC Brakes – the nation’s leader in brake technology – has partnered with Speed51.com and the Southern Super Series to support a free live broadcast of the race. The 150-lap season finale will air live on Speed51 TV, the online live broadcasting platform on Speed51.com powered by JEGS.

"We love being a part of the Southern Super Series and we love being a part of Speed51's broadcasts and 51 TV, said Chris Dilbeck of PFC Brakes. “Anytime that we can take one of the broadcasts and make it available, free-of-charge to all the Short Track race fans, it's the least we could do to try to give back to fans of Short Track Racing. It also brings a little bit of awareness to the fact that the Snowball Derby is right around the corner. We want to bring attention and eyes to the Southern Super Series at their last race at Pensacola and at the same time tee it up for the prestigious Snowball Derby at the end of the year."

Race fans tuning into the live broadcast on Speed51.com will be able to watch qualifying action, pre-race ceremonies and all 150 laps of racing action. In addition to the racing itself, the 2016 Southern Super Series and 2016 Blizzard Series champions will also be crowned on the live broadcast.

The news of the live broadcast was first announced during the driver’s meeting this past Saturday at Mobile International Raceway (AL). Being able to showcase the Southern Super Series drivers to a national audience is something that has series promoter Tim Bryant looks forward to.

“We’re excited about that. We’re hoping that our racers can use it as a way to market their teams to their current sponsors or potential sponsors, Bryant said. “We’re hoping that we’ll be able to get some fans to tune in to what we think will be a great finale. Hopefully they’ll be intrigued to come visit us live at the Snowball Derby.

“I will add that through the pay-per-view broadcasts that we’ve done at the Derby, we’ve had some ticket sales. The most recent one was a lady from Maine who said they watched the broadcast last year of the Snowball and decided right there they were adding it to their list of places to be for 2016.

This event will have a 200-mile blackout (driving distance) from Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. The blackout will include the cities of Montgomery, Alabama to the north, Mobile, Alabama and New Orleans, Louisiana to the west and Tallahassee, Florida to the east.

“I love racing at Five Flags Speedway. It is one of the premiere and most competitive racetracks in America and this Southern Super Series finale will be fun to watch, said Bob Dillner, Executive Editor of Speed51.com. “We urge everyone to attend because there will be a lot of big-time drivers doing a little test and tune for the Snowball Derby, but if you can’t be there this time, watching online is a great way to see some great racing racing and get warmed up for the big trip in Pensacola to watch the Snowball Derby in person in December.

Speed51 TV, the leader in live Short Track Racing video broadcasts, produced the first live broadcast of Five Flags Speedway’s signature event, the Snowball Derby, in December 2014 and followed that up with another signature broadcast in 2015.

Thanks to PFC Brakes, fans across the globe will be able to witness all the fast, high-drama action from Five Flags’ final Super Late Model race of 2016 as the Southern Super Series’ championship event sets the table for this December’s 49th Annual Snowball Derby.

PFC Brakes, an industry leader in high-performance brake calipers, rotors and pads for a variety of racing disciplines including short track Super Late Model racing, will present the live broadcast to enhance the exposure of the teams competing in the Southern Super Series’ season finale at Five Flags.

In order to watch the live broadcast, race fans will need to sign up for a free account on Speed51.com by clicking here (http://speed51.com/join-today/). By signing up for a free account, race fans will also have the ability to purchase future pay-per-view broadcasts on Speed51 TV.
