Miss Snowball Derby Pageant to Be Streamed Worldwide
September 20, 2016 •
The Snowball Derby is a crown jewel event in the short track racing scope of America. And now the pageant to decide which lucky lady will wear the actual crown will be broadcast to the world.
For the third straight year, the Miss Snowball Derby competition is returning, and this year’s contest will be seen on a live video stream through Speed51.com – The Official News Site of the Snowball Derby.
The pageant will be held at Beef O’ Brady’s in historic downtown Pensacola, Florida on November 17. The competition gives ladies, ages 18 and older, the chance at winning the title of Miss Snowball Derby for the 49th Annual Snowball Derby, December 1-4. Brent Lane of Cat Country 98.7 FM will be the MC for the pageant.
“We’re excited to announce the date for the Miss Snowball Derby Pageant, as we had so much fun at last year’s event, said Pat Bryant of Five Flags Speedway. “Tracy Goodson and his staff at Beef O’ Brady’s downtown do an excellent job hosting the event, and once again Cat County 98.7’s Brent Lane will be with us. Adding the live video stream will definitely add to the sense of prestige for the pageant.
The reigning Miss Snowball Derby, Cam Davis, has done a fantastic job representing the local racing scene, and stands ready to pass the Crown on November 17th.
In conjunction with Five Flags Speedway, former Miss Georgia World, Lisa Garvey, has been tapped to direct the pageant for the second straight year.
The person chosen as Miss Snowball Derby will be expected to represent Five Flags Speedway at as many Snowball Derby-related functions as possible. In addition, Miss Snowball Derby will be on hand for all Victory Lane photos, pre-race ceremonies and some occasional fan interaction during the course of the weekend.
