Five Flags Speedway
PLAN YOUR RACING FOR 2017.
With 2016 in the rear view, we are proud to announce the 2017 5 Flags Speedway Schedule. Many changes are in store as we approach the New Year. We will continue our 5 event Drift Series in 2017, and are really excited to host, for the first time ever, an AMA Super Moto Series event in October. This event will bring in top shelf motorcycle racers from around the nation, and we’re flattered that this California based organization has chosen Pensacola to be on their schedule. While other non racing activities are in discussion, we are quick to recognize that stock car racing on the half mile oval is what we are really about, and we vow to make every effort to re-energize the local asphalt racing scene. A couple of our Divisions have been re-branded, and our racing schedule will allow us to highlight every Division at some point during the season. Our opening date is a little earlier for 2017, and as somewhat of a throwback, it will be a Sunday afternoon event. Additionally, opening day will feature another exciting throwback, to be announced in early January. The other bookend of the 2017 schedule will feature back to back Saturday races in September, which will decide our 2017 Track Champions. One of these events will be another first timer, with the Allen Turner Tune-Up 100 and the Deep South Cranes Blizzard Series Championship taking place on the same night. There will be some changes in how our race events are run in 2017, as we will be implementing some new ideas, some of which came from our competitors and our fans. And after all this, we will be racing towards the biggest racing weekend in Five Flags Speedway history, that of course being the 50th Annual Snowball Derby. 2017…Let’s Go Racing!!
