Speed51.com sets Snowball Derby broadcast team

By Speed51.com (Pensacola, FL) — When fans tune into the live video broadcast of the 49th Annual Snowball Derby, they will be greeted by a talented broadcast team full of recognizable names and voices. On Friday afternoon, Speed51.com announced their broadcast team for the four days of video broadcasts from Five Flags Speedway on December 1-4.

Leading the way on the broadcast team will be the dynamic duo of veteran motorsports reporter Bob Dillner and Adam Mackey. The Dillner-Mackey duo has been heard calling the Snowball Derby for many years now, whether it be on radio or video, and return to the broadcast booth to call all of the Super Late Model action during the Snowball Derby.

“The Snowball Derby is an event I look forward to covering each year,” Dillner said. “I’ve been blessed to have covered a wide variety of events throughout my career and this is one of the events I get the most excited about each year. The Snowball Derby is an event that every short track racing fan should attend. We hope that race fans who can’t make it enjoy the broadcast and hope that the passion we have for the event shines through on the live broadcast.”

Dillner and Mackey will be joined by a trio of Joe’s Racing Products pit reporters who will bring race fans all of the action from a busy pit road. Wisconsin’s Jana Wimmer, North Carolina’s Casey LaJoie and Alan Dietz, the voice of the Pro All Stars Series, will be behind the scenes throughout the week to deliver the latest news and information to those watching at home.
“It’s an honor to be on board with the Speed51.com broadcast team covering the biggest Super Late Model race of the year,” LaJoie stated. “Last year, I was able to go to my first ever Snowball Derby, but as a crew guy from my brother, Corey. I was absolutely blown away with the magnitude of this event. I am beyond excited to get down to Pensacola and not only be able to watch this prestigious race, but be a small part of it as well.”

Throughout the week leading up to the 300-lap Super Late Model race on Sunday, a variety of commentators and reporters will be heard on Speed51.com.

The Pro Late Model action throughout the week will be hosted by Speed51.com’s Mark Keeler with Dietz and Northwest Super Late Model Series announcer Jeremy Anders joining him in the broadcast booth. That trio will be joined on pit road by LaJoie and Speed51.com Southeast Editor Rob Blount.

Indiana’s Mikayla Kugler will also be making appearances throughout the week on pit road during various races for the grassroots divisions.
All of those listed above, as well as Speed51.com Editor Brandon Paul, are also expected to make appearances throughout the week on the Speed51 Network. On-demand videos including exclusive interviews and reports will be available daily on the Network.

The 49th Annual Snowball Derby weekend kicks off on Wednesday, November 30 with the Cat Country/WEAR TV3 Green Flag Pit Party and Qualifying Order Draw Down.

Thursday, December 1 will see the Super Late Models take to the track for the first official Snowball Derby practice. The night will be highlighted by a 30-lap race for the Butler U-Pull-It Bombers and a 50-lap event for the Dock on the Beach Sportsmen division.

The top Snowball Derby starting spots will be set on Friday, December 2 during NASH FM 102.7 Pole Night. The Faith Chapel Super Stocks and the Modifieds will each run 50-lap features.

The Pro Late Models take center stage on Saturday, December 3 for the Allen Turner Hyundai Snowflake 100. The 50-lap Last Chance Qualifier for the Snowball Derby and a 50-lap feature for the Beef O’Brady’s Pro Truck division will also run on Saturday night.
