Snowball Crash Sidelines Jackson Boone Today

Jackson Boone, who was scheduled to compete in Monday's Snowflake 100 at 5 Flags Speedway, will be sidelined from the event following a hard crash in Sunday's Snowball Derby presented by Hooters and Safe Locator. The No. 7 Fat Head Racing team will not have a relief driver, and will instead withdraw its entry.
Boone's Fat Head Racing team announced in a social media post on Monday morning.

"Due to yesterday's hard impact for Jackson Boone, we will be withdrawing from today's Snowflake 100," the statement read. "Although released from hospital and doing okay, concussion-like symptoms will sideline Jackson from today's race. We brought two fast cars this week and look forward to what's next."
Boone, who was running well in his Snowball Derby debut, was sent for a wild ride on Lap 34 of the event following contact with NASCAR Cup Series star Erik Jones. Boone's car hooked and went hard into the outside wall in Turns 1 and 2.

After spending some time in his car, following the crash, Boone gingerly walked away from the carnage.
Boone, 23, was named a finalist for the 2023 Kulwicki Driver Development Program in April. Boone would go on to finish third in the Kulwicki Cup Point Standings this season behind champion Max Cookson and Haeden Plybon.
The native of Franklin, TN was credited with a 34th-place finish in the 36-car Snowball Derby field.

The young racer has three previous starts in the Snowflake 100, and he scored his career-best finish of third in the event last season. There were hopes that Boone could compete for the win on Monday.
Boone competed in various short track series throughout the 2023 season including the ASA STARS National Tour, the Solid Rock Carriers CARS Tour Late Model Tour, CRA Super Series, Southern Super Series, and the CRA JEGS All-Stars Tour.

The Snowflake 100 is set for Monday, December 4, 2023 and the PPV broadcast of the event will be provided by Racing America. The race broadcast is set to begin at 12:45 PM ET.
