He Has Won Here Before...

2024 has been a good year for Casey Roderick in Super Late Model racing. The former Georgia driver now calls Mississippi home and his travels around the country have been a little bit sweeter with a run of solid finishes.

In seven ASA Southern Super Series starts this season Roderick has six finishes inside the top 10. Five of those have been in the top five and three finishes have been on the podium with the most recent being a runner-up finish at Hickory in May.

“It has been a great year,” admitted Roderick. “Each week we're trying to find that little bit to go ahead and close the deal on some of these races. I feel like we've dealt with a lot of different things this year. We've been fast, but we're dealing with other things that are keeping us from getting into the winner's circle. So hopefully we can change that at Five Flags.”

Five Flags was the site of his last Super Late Model win in March of 2023. That was also the first-ever ASA STARS National Tour event.

The finishes this year have Roderick on top of the ASA Southern Super Series standings. Being the point leader is nothing new, but he’s chasing a record third Southern Super Series title that would break the tie he has with Stephen Nasse right now.”

“Our season is all based on Anthony Campi and ACR and all the guys who work on these cars,” said Roderick. “I know when I show up we are going to be fast or we are going to be very close to it right off the truck. I want to give these guys a win before we start thinking about points this year.”

This past weekend Roderick added to his season's success by gaining the points lead in the ASA STARS National series after a pair of top five finishes. Despite not having a Super Late Model win, the season has been very good and there could be two potential championships at the end of the road.

“This past weekend just fueled the fire,” said Roderick. “Getting a checkered flag is the goal and Five Flags is a place that has been kind to us over the years, but I won’t be smiling until lap 100 and hopefully we are the first one to the line that night,”

The Sportsman, Pure Stocks, and Crown Stocks will also be in action, and as icing on the cake, the sky will light up with a gigantic fireworks display.
